“Colorful Caribbean” named the best Caribbean book in the world
At the prestigious World Food Summit, held at the Estoril Convention Centre in Cascais, Portugal, the coloring book "Caribe Colorido" by Haitian chef Natacha Gomez-Dupuy was named the World's Best Caribbean Book by the Gourmand Awards. This coloring book is aimed at children aged 7 to 14.
The announcement was made on stage by Edouard Cointreau, president and founder of the Gourmand Awards, who praised the work for its exceptional depth and cultural scope. "Congratulations on this beautiful coloring book that celebrates the beauty and diversity of the Caribbean. This inspiring project brings the vibrant culture, landscapes, and traditions of the islands to life through art, while supporting the education and well-being of children in Cap-Haïtien. By combining creativity, sustainability, and hope, you are making a meaningful gift that educates, uplifts, and celebrates the soul of the Caribbean. Thank you for this positive impact!"
