The Government of Haiti sends a medical mission to Venezuela. Port-au-Prince, July 7, 2026 – True to its tradition of fraternity, solidarity, and cooperation among nations, the Government of the Republic of Haiti, at the request of Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, announces the departure this Tuesday of a major medical mission to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which was severely affected by the two devastating earthquakes of June 24. Led by the Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Sinal Bertrand, this mission comprises 31 healthcare professionals, including doctors and other specialists, mobilized to provide medical and humanitarian assistance to the Venezuelan people during this time of great difficulty. With this gesture, Haiti reaffirms a profound conviction: in the face of suffering, borders disappear, and solidarity becomes a duty. A nation that has also suffered the consequences of natural disasters, Haiti understands the pain of those struck by tragedy and, despite its own challenges, chooses to offer its assistance to a friendly country. This mission testifies to the excellent historical relations that unite Haiti and Venezuela. Over the years, both peoples have forged an alliance based on mutual respect, cooperation, and sincere friendship. Today, the Haitian people express, through this medical delegation, their deepest compassion, affection, and support for the Venezuelan people.
